LOVELAND – Alvera Jean Bath Perington was born on October 30, 1930, in Loveland. She grew up in Torrington, where she helped work the beet fields with her mother and father.
CARPENTER – Dennis D. Haas, 1947-2023. A private memorial service will be held in July 2024, for Dennis D. Haas at the Carpenter, Wyoming cemetery. Dennis passed away quietly in the hours of December 10, 2023, at the Veterans Community Living Center, Cheyenne.
TORRINGTON – Memorial services for William “Bill” Eugene Schlager Sr., 94, will be held 1 p.m. Friday, January 12, 2024, at the Colyer Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Rick Carroll officiating.
HAWK SPRINGS – Wilma Schlager was born January 4, 1927, in Mitchell, Nebraska, as lucky number 13 out of 17. Her parents were sharecropper immigrants from German colonies in Russia. She grew up near Hawk Springs, where she excelled at school and graduated as HS Valedictorian.
SIOUX CITY – Luke was born on February 27th, 1975, in Sioux City, Iowa, and passed away peacefully on December 19, 2023 in Lees Summit, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Leon and Loretta Patnaude and Larry and Joanne Bernard.
