Alvera Jean Bath Perington

LOVELAND – Alvera Jean Bath Perington was born on October 30, 1930, in Loveland. She grew up in Torrington, where she helped work the beet fields with her mother and father. She graduated high school in Torrington and then eventually moved to Denver, Co for college where she graduated from the Central Business College of Denver. Even though she spent the rest of her years in Colorado she was a firm believer that Wyoming was the number one state in the U.S. and was not afraid to challenge anyone about that.

September 3, 1950 Jean married Alton L. Perington. They were married for 73 years and lived an adventurous life together. They traveled all over the world together seeing many of the worlds greatest landmarks.

Jean was very active in the community and volunteered her time with charities locally and nationally. She spent many years as a supporter of the Salvation Army. She received numerous awards for her role there at the Salvation Army including the prestige award CAREGIVER and Doll of the year.

She was a very successful business woman who worked as a secretary/treasurer for a distribution food company were she was part owner. She was also an active stock broker and real estate agent.

Jean is survived by her husband Al Perington, daughter Nancy Perington Hass, Son Phillip Perington, Grandaughter Britany Hass-Ramos, Grandson Garrett Hass, and Great Grandaughter Ava Hass-Ramos.

Services will be held at Risen Christ Catholic Parish 3060 S monaco St. Pkwy, Denver, at 10 a.m. Monday, January 22, 2024.

Jean has asked that any memorial donations be made to the Salvation Army or the Wild Animal Sanctuary in Hudson, Colorado.
