A Celebration of Life for LOUISE EVA WELLS, 95, will be held at North Hills Baptist Church on Saturday, July 18, 2026 from 1pm to 4pm. Louise went home to be with the Lord on July 5, 2026. Cremation has taken place. The Colyer Funeral Home assisted the family with the cremation arrangements. Condolences may be sent to www.colyerfuneralhome.com.
Louise was born August 6, 1930 in Minatare, Nebraska. She and Bob Wells married June 6, 1950 and they had three sons. Her life was her kids, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She worked for the LaGrange School for eighteen years as head cook. She was famous for many dishes as well as her Manhattan rolls. She was also the local Avon lady.
Louise’s hobbies included cooking, sewing, quilting, babysitting grandkids and gardening.
Louise is survived by her sons Robert (Adele), John (Brenda) and Dan Wells; her many grandchildren, nieces and nephews, cousins; siblings Dorthy Huckfeldt, Ruth Schreiner, David Kuntz and Viola Williams; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters; and two brothers.
