The Torrington High School boys' and girls' track teams kicked off the 2024 spring season with solid performances at the Binfield Invite in Scottsbluff, Nebraska.

Commencing the 2024 spring season with a bang, the Torrington High School boys' and girls' track teams rose to the challenge at the Binfield Invite in Scottsbluff, Nebraska this afternoon.
The Lady Blazers cruised into second place overall, posting 125 team points. In sprinting, Brooklyn Asmus snagged gold in both the 100- and 200-meters, with times of 12.44 seconds and 25.51 seconds, respectively. Callie Taylor won the grueling, long distance 3200-meters, clocking in at 13 minutes, 53.65 seconds. Natalie Hawes garnered first place in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 48.67 seconds. Trishell Pontarolo won the triple jump, hitting a mark of 34 feet, 10 inches. Asmus, Alyssa Wondercheck, Pontarolo and Natalie Long captured gold in the 4x400-meter relay at 4:20.57.
The Blazers pulled into third place as a team, tallying 68 points. Tyler Bennick picked up gold in both the shot put, at 51-02, and the discus, at 143-03.
