Lady Blazers conclude season

RAWLINS – The Torrington High School Lady Blazers concluded the 2024 spring season with an away game against the Rawlins Lady Outlaws on Friday, May 10.

The Lady Blazer offense attacked Rawlins’ side of the field early in the first half before Rawlins managed to score a pair of goals. The scoreboard favored the Lady Outlaws, 2-0, at halftime.

Defensive hustle by the Lady Blazers foiled additional attempts by Rawlins to score in the first half.

A gritty Lady Blazer defense prevented the Lady Outlaws from reaching the goal area for the first 19 minutes of the second half while the Torrington offense made several attacks into the opposing team’s zone.

Rawlins ultimately managed to net two more goals in the final 20 minutes of regulation and the final scoreboard favored the Lady Outlaws, 4-0.

Torrington’s young varsity squad demonstrated considerable growth throughout a tough season. The Lady Blazer offense showed more aggression as the season progressed, culminating in stronger attacks with additional shots on goal, while the Torrington defense improved in shutting down attempts by opponents to score.

With no seniors on the team this year, Torrington’s entire starting lineup will return with plenty of experience in 2025.
