PARKER, COLORADO – Julia Ann (Julie) Belden Onken was born May 13,1950 in Alliance to Donald L. and Vida Lea Belden. She passed away October 1, 2025 in Centennial, Colorado, following an extended illness.

Julie grew up in Bridgeport and graduated from Bridgeport High School in 1968. She was married in 1968 and her daughter, Annessa Lynn was born in 1972. Through the years she was fortunate to live and work in Nebraska, the Philippines, Ohio and Wyoming.

Julie was proud of her career as a nurse, obtaining an LPN degree in the early 1970s and later achieving her RN degree in Scottsbluff. While residing in Wheatland and Torrington, she worked for Banner Health Systems hospitals. In 1989, she began working in long term care at Goshen Care Center as Director of Nursing and later became the Resident Assessment Coordinator until her retirement. She made many good friends with coworkers and residents over the years.

Following her retirement, Julie lived in Laramie for a brief time, then moved to Parker, Colorado with her significant other, Dale Hoke. She lived her final 12 years happily in Parker, enjoying their companionship immensely.

Julie is survived by her daughter, special grandson Gregory Booth, and five additional grandchildren Becca, Stephanie, Ryan, Sean, and Conner. Other survivors include her sisters Becky (Gary) Bangert of Orlando and Paula (Stan) Schoenemann of Crawford and their families.

Julie was predeceased by her parents, Don and Vi Belden, and her grandparents: Charlie Belden, Ray and Vera Smith, Leslie Hascall and Helen Irene and Roy Boyd.
