TORRINGTON – Memorial services for Judith Ellen Miller, 81, will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at the All-Saints Episcopal Church with Reverend Kenli Barling officiating. Judy died March 1, 2025, at Community Hospital in Torrington and cremation has taken place. Arrangements are by the Colyer Funeral Home and condolences may be sent to www.colyerfuneralhome.com.
Judy was born May 10, 1943, in San Diego, California to Basil and June (Stowell) Morris. After Basil was discharged from the army, the family moved to Gering, where Judy’s brother Wayne was born. Judy grew up in Gering, where she met and married her high school sweetheart Clyde Miller on July 21, 1963. This union lasted 61 years until Judy’s death. Clyde and Judy had three sons, Rick, Michael and Scott.
They raised the boys first in Sunrise and then in Torrington. Judy worked for R and M Lumber, later Century Lumber for 49 years.
Judy had a strong and loving heart and her family was always her greatest source of joy and top priority. She was very dedicated, rarely missing a day of work and could most often be found working side by side with Clyde to maintain a beautiful and comfortable home, where many cherished memories were made with her beloved family. She loved taking care of her home and yard and being with family. Our hearts will never be the same without her by our side.
Judy is survived by her husband Clyde; sons Rick Miller, Michael (Kelly) Miller and Scott (Shelley) Miller; grandchildren Che’ Miller, Larissa (Bruce) Winton, Chelsea (Wesley) Hunter, Branden (Arely) Miller, David Miller, Hayden (Andreya) Miller, and Ainsley Miller and fourteen beautiful great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother Wayne and a brother-in-law Darold Henry.
