TORRINGTON – It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Ira Clifton Wood Jr. (Cliffy) who left us on February 28, 2025, at the age of 86.

A funeral service to celebrate Cliff’s life will be held Friday, March 7, 2025, at 12 p.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Torrington. Burial will follow in the Valley View Cemetery and there will be a gathering at Cottonwood Country Club following burial (2-4 p.m.). 

There will be a viewing at the Colyer Funeral Home on Thursday, March 6, 2025, 5-7 p.m. and the casket will be open at the church prior to services.

Cliff was born on March 14, 1938, in Laramie. As a devoted father, he touched the lives of his children with unconditional love, support and wisdom. Cliff had a passion for golf, ping pong and skiing, which he enjoyed with family and friends. He had a way of making everyone around him feel valued and loved. He served his country in the Army Reserve and dedicated over 40 years to the United States Postal Service as a rural mail carrier.

He is survived by his three daughters: Jacque (Todd) Seiffert, Dana (Bill) Rounsborg, and Kari Cameron. Grandchildren: Michael, Eric and Lisa Martinez, Ashlyn (Clint) Stephenson, Zachary (Lexie Oak) Zarling and Jocelyn (Patricia) Zarling, Lanny Cameron, Katie (Corey) Okes, Ben (Abby) Seiffert, Meranda (Tim) Powers. Great grandchildren: Aubrey Jo, Christopher, and Bentley Martinez, Cayden, Camden and Carston Stephenson, Zoey, Alexander, and Gunnar Zarling. Mia and Wyatt Okes, Bennett and Liam Seiffert. Carly, Chole and Mason Powers.

Preceding him in death were his parents Ira Clifton Wood Sr and Pamela Wood; sisters, Eileen Merback and Pamela Schmick; his first wife Patricia Renee Mill; wife Patty Lou Wood; stepdaughters Shelly and Robin Clemens and grandson Christopher Martinez.
