TORRINGTON – A Funeral Mass for Frank Weyrich will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at Saint Rose Catholic Church in Torrington with Father Ray Moss officiating. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery. A viewing will be Monday, April 21, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Colyer Funeral Home, with a Rosary at 6 p.m. at the church.

Frank was born east of Sturgis, South Dakota, the ninth child of Marguerite and Jacob Weyrich. He married Karen Callanan on June 16, 1954. Together, they shared nearly 71 years of marriage and raised four children.

Frank worked as a diesel mechanic/welder and fabricator for Lamb Construction for nearly 40 years before opening his own business, “Weyrich Repair,” in Yoder, which he ran into his late 80s. He was a member of the Hawk Springs Fire Department for 37 years and also volunteered with the Hawk Springs Community Building. He was a member of the Saint Rose Catholic Church.

Frank especially loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and rarely missed a chance to attend their activities – near or far. He also enjoyed road trips to Deadwood.

He is survived by his wife, Karen; children Jim (Fran), Frankie (Maureen), Terri (Jim House), and Rod (Lori); 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and sister Gladys Cox Brown. He was preceded in death by his parents, 10 siblings, and granddaughter Karla House.

Memorials may be made to Saint Rose Catholic Church or the Hawk Springs Fire Department. Condolences: www.colyerfuneralhome.com.
