MORRILL – Memorial services for Sandra Jolene Coleman, 77, of Morrill will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025, at 1 p.m. at the First Congregational Church in Torrington with Reverend Matt Gordon officiating. A reception will follow at Open Barrel Brewing Company in Torrington.
Sandy passed away November 15, 2025, in Cheyenne. Memorial donations in Sandra’s memory may be directed to the Goshen County Senior Friendship Center or to the First Congregational Church. “Sandy,” the daughter of Gladys and Wendell Boyd, was born on December 3, 1947, in Sidney. Her family later relocated to Morrill, where she received her primary and secondary education. She then earned a cosmetology degree in Scottsbluff.
Sandy married Jerry Coleman in 1969. Sandy and Jerry spent time with friends and family, hosting events, and attending gatherings throughout the community. They had two children, Christopher Lee and Stephanie Britt. Chris and Stephanie grew up enjoying Sandy’s cooking, crafting, sewing, and unwavering support. She also enjoyed spending time with her coffee group, engaging with her community, and volunteering at the library and the senior center.
Sandy’s devotion to her children extended to her grandchildren – Delaney, Justin, Louise, Gage, Greyson, Jaiden and Slade – and her great-grandson, Dimitri. Each of them grew up knowing the warmth, encouragement, and unconditional love of their grandmother.
Sandra is survived by her two children and their spouses (Tammy and Brian); her seven grandchildren; her great-grandchild and her sister, Joan Schnieder (Jerry). She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Coleman; her parents, Gladys and Wendell Boyd and her sister, Shirley Schultz and brother-in-law Ed.
