Lady Cyclones snag second, Cyclones place fifth at Lusk

The Southeast High School Cyclones and Lady Cyclones battled gusty winds, cold temperatures and tough opponents at the 2024 Dennis Zowada Invitational hosted by Niobrary County High School on Saturday.

The Lady Cyclones captured second place as a team, posting 114 points. The Cyclones took sixth place with 52 points.

Senior Harper Boche garnered gold in the girls' shot put with a toss of 40 feet, 3 1/2 inches.

Fellow senior Sasha Haines scooped up first place in the 400-meters, clocking in at 1 minute, 5.70 seconds.

The girls' 4x100-meter relay team – Haines, sophomore Molly Hasbargen, freshman Bailey Mehling and senior Tylar Stoddard – pulled into first place with a time of 53.44 seconds.

The boys' 4x400-meter team – junior William Knowlton, sophomore T.J. Moats, junior Kannon Tippetts and senior Wyatt Gladson – snapped up gold at 3:53.37.
