Lady Blazers fall to Douglas

DOUGLAS – The Torrington High School Lady Blazers’ soccer team traveled to Douglas for their first conference game of the 2024 season against the Lady Bearcats on March 28.

Douglas controlled the scoreboard through both halves, although the Lady Blazers battled down to the last minute, culminating in Torrington scoring its first goal for the season in the second half. Freshman Zoe Wilson shot the ball into the net for Torrington.

The final score ultimately favored Douglas, 14-1.

Torrington hosts 3A East conference rival Rawlins on Thursday with kickoff scheduled for 3 p.m. at the Old Wiseman Field. The junior varsity girls play Rawlins at 5 p.m. Rawlins is currently sitting at a 0-2 overall record.

The Lady Blazers take on Worland at home the following week, with the 3A rivals hitting the pitch at 4 p.m.

Next up, Torrington hosts Buffalo on Saturday, April 13, followed by a home game against Scottsbluff on Tuesday, April 16.
