TORRINGTON – Jack E. Gibson, 76, passed away on November 4, 2025, at home surrounded by his loving family.

The memorial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Sunrise Church in Torrington with Pastor Brent Mullock officiating.

Jack was born on March 20, 1949, in Scottsbluff, the son of Claude (Hoot) and Georgia (Giggs) Gibson. He was raised on the family farm south of Lyman, where he later raised registered quarter horses. After graduating from high school, Jack joined the National Guard and served for 12 years. He later went on to work for the State of Wyoming Engineer’s office as a Hydrographer Commissioner, from which he retired in 2016.

Jack is survived by his loving wife, Nellie; six children, Don (Wendy), Kenny, Bobby, Brent, Dusty (Monica), and Crystal (Matt); one brother, Dan (Ginny); one sister, Claudette; 16 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Hoot and Giggs Gibson; mother-in-law, Ida Edmondson; and one brother-in-law, Tom Culver.
