TORRINGTON – Dona Schlattmann of Torrington, born July 31, 1935, went home to her Heavenly Father on July 20, 2025 surrounded by her family at home. Dona was born in Bennett Colorado to Viloa and Dorvan H Dunbar.
Dona loved to play Bingo and play pinochle at the senior center. She was an avid reader and liked to put puzzles together. Dona never met a stranger and everyone who met her loved her. She will be dearly missed.
Dona is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years Richard Schlattmann; mother and father; her sister Wanda and two brothers Glen and Hugh Dunbar. Dona is survived by two daughters Denise Millett (Norman) and Dawn Goss (Marc). Grandchildren Hattiebelle, Donovan, Cody, and Ryan.
Special thank you to Pastor Tim Sparks and his wife Jessie of East Gate Baptist Church and Brookstone Hospice for all of their love and care. To all of Dona’s friends thank you your friendship, it meant the world to her. Per Dona’s request cremation has taken place and no services.
