TORRINGTON – A Celebration of Life for Craig Burt Anderson, 74, will be held at a later date. He passed away November 24, 2025, at Torrington Community Hospital and cremation has taken place. Memorials may be given to IBEW Local 415 Stocker Scholarship Fund. The Colyer Funeral Home assisted the family with the cremation arrangements. Craig was born October 22, 1951, in Scottsbluff to Harold “Burt” and Thelma “Gail” (Peterson) Anderson. He grew up in Henry, helping with the livestock and at the family general store. He attended elementary school in Henry, then transferred to Torrington High School where he graduated in 1970. He was active in DeMolay’s. He attended Eastern Wyoming Community College and the university majoring in Civil Engineering. Craig married Brenda Herdt on January 5, 1975, in Henry. They then moved to Guernsey, while he went to work at Guernsey Stone. In 1978, the couple started their family, adding Carrie June. They moved to Fort Laramie in 1980 and added Jacob William to their family. In 1989, Craig joined the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 415. For 28 years he worked as an electrician throughout the country on different projects until his retirement in 2017.

Craig enjoyed spending time at the family cabin. He was in his element when on the river or hanging out by the campfire. He was an avid reader and loved spending time with his grandchildren. 

Craig is survived by his daughter Carrie (Brian) Taylor; son, Jacob Anderson; grandchildren Jora Taylor, Skye Anderson and Alex Anderson; sisters Shirley (Ship) Lessert and Karen (Michael) Stricker; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Burt and Gail Anderson, sister Jane and brother-in-law Ronald, sister Donna Wells Phipps and brothers-in-law Lloyd Wells and James Phipps.
