GLENDALE, ARIZONA – Anthony “Amp” Morris, 93, went to be with his Lord and Savior September 4, 2025.

Dad was born in Huntley, on January 16, 1932, and passed away in Glendale, Arizona. He married Mary Ann Page September 1, 1952. Together they had five children, Nancy, Alan, Kathy, Mike and Judy.

Dad liked to tell the story of how he became a Christian, thanks to George Whitfield. Dad broke one of George’s house windows and when he admitted it to George, George told Dad he wouldn’t have to pay for it if Dad would come to a tent revival with him that night. This simple gift led Dad to a personal relationship with Jesus that Dad followed to the end. George also gave Dad a job. Dad, Mom, and our family found our church home at First Baptist Church in Torrington as long as we lived there.

Dad, along with his brother-in-law, Junior and father-in-law, Clarence, started the business A & C Sheet Metal together. When Tom Scott bought into the business, Dad created Precision Chassis, Inc., which was a manufacturing plant. Dad always called himself an eighth-grade flunky, but he always had a vision. He worked to create many things from a pencil drawing to solid objects, to reworking something to make it work better.

While Dad and Mom moved to other places and other jobs, Dad was always known for his love of the Lord, his willingness to help, and his sense of humor. Mom and Dad also made it a priority to find a church home and family wherever they lived.

Dad is survived by four of his children, nine grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann, daughter, Nancy Pollard and great-grandson, Bryce Pollard.
