Andrew Towne/Torrington Telegram Members of the Torrington Little League All-Star teams were out and about Wednesday morning in downtown Torrington selling baked goods to raise money for their upcoming trip to Gillette for the District and State Tournaments.

GORDON, Neb. – The Torrington senior Legion baseball team wrapped up the regular season on Wednesday night with a sweep of the Sheridan County Regulators.

TORRINGTON – A trio of locals will take part in the Wyoming Coaches Association All-Star volleyball and basketball games.

CASPER – The Torrington Tiger C teams wrapped up the 2022 regular season over the weekend as the C-NE squad split a road doubleheader against Casper, while the C-SE team was swept by the Cheyenne Indians at home Saturday evening.

DOUGLAS – The Torrington 11-12 all-star squad outscored opponents 64-8 en route to a championship title at the Douglas Summer Classic Saturday and Sunday.

DOUGLAS – The Torrington senior Legion baseball team went 2-2 at Douglas’ annual Bolln Wood Bat Tournament, finishing second after falling in the championship game against Riverton.

LINGLE – A familiar face will be returning to the sidelines next winter when the Lingle-Fort Laramie Dogger basketball team takes to the court.

TORRINGTON – The Torrington Tigers wrapped up conference play and the home portion of the 2022 schedule with a pair of losses to the Cheyenne Hawks on Wednesday evening at Dean Bullock Field.

BUFFALO – The Torrington Tigers traveled to Buffalo on Friday, picking up a road sweep over the Buffalo Bulls. They outscored the Bulls 30-8 in a pair of run-ruled contests.

TORRINGTON – The Cardinals and Marlins had to wait an extra 24 hours to settle the winner of the Torrington Little League City Tournament championship.

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. – The 10U, 12U and 14U Torrington Thunder softball teams were in action over the weekend at the Broadway Bombers Summer Slam Tournament over the weekend.

ALLIANCE, Neb. – The Torrington Shark swim team closed out the 2022 summer schedule on Saturday in Alliance, Nebraska.

LARAMIE – The Torrington Tiger C-NE team went 2-2 over the weekend at the weekend Laramie Tournament hosted at Cowboy Field.

TORRINGTON – Last Wednesday and Thursday nearly 80 youth aged from 6-12 years old from around Goshen County took part in the annual Football 101 camp hosted by Torrington High School coaches and players.

ALLIANCE, Neb. – The Torrington Tigers’ senior Legion baseball team went 2-3 over the course of the five-day tournament in Alliance, Nebraska.

SIDNEY, Neb. – Tyne Stokes, Cooper Walter and Atana Walter combined to set six new meet records at the third Torrington Shark swim meet of the season Saturday in Sidney, Nebraska.

GILLETTE – Recent Torrington High School graduate Cole Parriott and THS head coach Gabe Bartlett represented the Blazer program, taking part in the Wyoming Coaches Association All-Star soccer game on June 18 in Gillette.

CODY – On Saturday, Southeast High School graduate Jordan Stoddard became only the fifth student-athlete from Goshen County and the first from Southeast to win the prestigious Milward Simpson Award.

BUFFALO – Locals wrapped up the state rodeo season over the weekend in Buffalo at the Wyoming High School Rodeo State Finals and earning them a place at the 74th annual National High School Finals Rodeo in Gillette July 17-23.
