LUSK – Southeast High School went 3-1 over the weekend with a SEWAC victory over Niobrara County High School on Friday evening and a 2-1 day at the Mitchell (Nebraska) Invite on Saturday.

LUSK – Southeast High School senior receiver Austin Short had touchdown catches of 57 and 55 yards to help lead the Cyclones to a 21-14 win over Niobrara County High School to spoil the Tiger 2022 Homecoming festivities.

TORRINGTON – The Eastern Wyoming College volleyball team played four matches in three days, co-hosting the Wyo-Braska Shootout.

CHADRON, Neb. – Twenty-four Eastern Wyoming College Lancers competed in the first rodeo of the season over the weekend at the Chadron State College rodeo in Chadron. The Lancers were one of 12 teams competing from Wyoming, Colorado and Nebraska.

LINGLE – The Lingle-Fort Laramie High School volleyball team cruised to a 3-0 sweep over the Guernsey-Sunrise Lady Vikings on Friday evening for Homecoming.

LINGLE – For the third week in a row, the Lingle-Fort Laramie High School football team’s defense held their opponent out of the end zone.

YODER – The Southeast High School football team won its second straight game on Friday evening in the team’s home opener for the 2022 season.

BUFFALO – Torrington High School senior golfer Gage Gibson capped off his high school golf career with a fifth-place finish at the state tournament in Buffalo over the weekend.

TORRINGTON – The Torrington High School football team let a 10-7 lead slip away in the fourth quarter to the Wheatland Bulldogs on Friday evening at Wiseman Field.

RIVERTON – The Eastern Wyoming College golf team opened the 2022 season with a first and second place finish to start the year.

BIG HORN – The Lingle-Fort Laramie volleyball team fell to 4-6-1 on the season after picking up one win at the Big Horn Invite.

LUSK – Despite a slow start from the Lingle-Fort Laramie offense on Friday evening in Lusk, the Doggers managed to score 41 points over the final two and a half quarters en route to a 41-0 drubbing of the Niobrara County Tigers.

KIMBALL, Neb. – The Torrington Blazer cross country teams swept the team titles at the Kimball Invite on Friday.

RAWLINS – The Torrington High School volleyball team went 1-4 at the Rawlins Invite on Friday and Saturday.

WORLAND – Torrington High School senior golfer Gage Gibson rebounded after a first opening round to end the weekend with 3A East All-Conference honors at the weekend conference golf tournament in Worland.

TORRINGTON – The Torrington High School tennis team wrapped up the home portion of the schedule with Senior Day on Tuesday, Sept. 6 and wrapped up the regular season over the weekend in Laramie.

WRIGHT – The Southeast High School football team picked up its first win of the season on Friday evening in Wright.

BURNS – The Torrington High School football team picked up its first win of 2022. It took a little bit of overtime to get it done, but when the final horn sounded on Friday in Burns, the Blazers picked up a 27-21 win over the Broncs.

ARAPAHOE – Going into Friday’s opener, the Lingle-Fort Laramie High School football team faced the tall task of a four-hour bus ride to St. Stephens High School. Getting off the bus ready to perform was a point of emphasis for the Doggers heading into the game.

GOSHEN COUNTY – The Lingle-Fort Laramie and Southeast high school volleyball teams picked up wins over the last week, while the Eastern Wyoming College Lady Lancers lost to Western Nebraska Community College in the home opener.
