COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Jim was born Nov. 22, 1941, at Lamar to Dr. George N. and Marine K. Glover. He moved with his parents to Torrington, Wyoming shortly thereafter. He grew up there and graduated from Torrington High School in 1960.

TORRINGTON – On Sunday, Jan. 29, 2023, Steve Schneider, 53, a loving husband and father, passed away after a hard-fought battle with cancer.

CHEYENNE – Jack Kappeler, 78, passed away on Jan. 30, 2023. He was born in Dayton, Ohio, but lived most of his life in Wyoming.

TORRINGTON – Billy “Bill” B. Marsh died Jan. 28, 2023, in Torrington. He was 87 years old. The youngest of 10 children, Bill was born on March 24, 1935, in Alliance, Nebraska to parents Lee and Josephine (Donovan) Marsh. His five sisters and four brothers all predeceased him.

TORRINGTON – A Celebration of Life for Stanley “Smokey” Duane Willadsen, 85, will be held at East Gate Baptist Church in Torrington on Feb. 4, 2023, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Smokey received his wings on Dec. 7, 2022, at Chimney Rock Villa in Bayard, Nebraska and at his request cremation has taken place. In lieu flowers the family requests donations be made to East Gate Baptist Church. Private family burial will take place at a later date. LARAMIE – William Dean Flock, 86, of Laramie, passed away on Tuesday, Jan.24, at Ivinson Memorial Hospital in Laramie.

TORRINGTON – James Addison York, 78, died Jan. 28, 2023, at home with his family by his side.

FORT LARAMIE – Memorial services for Linda Lou Dunn will be held at a later date. Linda died at her home in Fort Laramie on Jan. 17, 2023. Cremation has taken place. She was born Sept. 30, 1945, in Torrington. The Colyer Funeral Home assisted the family with the cremation arrangements.

TORRINGTON – Memorial graveside services for Roland Leroy Marlatt, 94, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 27, 2023 at the Valley View Cemetery with Reverend Bruce McBurney officiating. Roland died Jan. 18, 2023 at Goshen Healthcare Community and cremation has taken place. Memorials may be given to the Disabled American Veterans. MITCHELL, Neb. – Helen M. Briggs, 91, of Mitchell, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 19, 2023, at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff. Her funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 26, 2023, at the Mitchell Methodist Church with Tom Youngquist officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Morrill. TORRINGTON – Richard “Bud” E. Watson, 86, of Torrington, passed away surrounded by his four children on Sunday, Jan. 15. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, Jan. 20, 2 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Torrington.

GUERNSEY – Vincent David Luoma 13 of Divide, Colorado passed away on Dec. 10, 2022 at his great grandparents' home in Salida, Colorado.

OTTUMWA, Iowa – Elsie Mae Cofer, 86, of Ottumwa, died at 4:30 a.m. Jan. 12, 2023 at Vista Woods Care Center.

TORRINGTON – Memorial services for Elmer Schaffer, 89, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, 2023 at the Hawk Springs Community Building. Elmer died peacefully at his home on Dec. 22, 2022. TORRINGTON – Orvin, 81, passed away peacefully at home after his battle with cancer. A celebration of life will be announced and held at a later date.

TORRINGTON – Larry Gene Dockins, 83, gained his angel wings Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2023, at the Torrington Community Hospital, surrounded by his family. A memorial service, with full military honors, will be held Tuesday, Jan. 10, at Lifeway church in Torrington with Pastor Marty Rostad officiating.

TORRINGTON – On Saturday, Jan. 7, Charlotte L. Wiand left to join those who had preceded her. Charlotte was born Nov. 11, 1922; born on what was known as Armistice Day and lived through a changing world.
