PUBLIC NOTICE
Fort Laramie Tunnel Reconstruction NEPA Scoping and Public Meetings Scheduled
Contact: Stacey Johnston, 307-261-5631, sjohnston@usbr.gov. The Bureau of Reclamation, in conjunction with Goshen and Gering-Fort Laramie Irrigation Districts and their consultants, will host four public meetings the week of Jan. 6, 2025, to discuss the Fort Laramie Tunnel Reconstruction project with the public, federal, state, and local agencies in accordance with requirements of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). These meetings are intended to provide agencies, interested stakeholders, and the public with the opportunity to:
• Share information developed in the recently circulated Draft EA for the Fort Laramie Tunnel Reconstruction project.
• Ask questions regarding the content of the EA and/or the NEPA process.
• Provide comments on the EA beginning Jan. 7, 2025.
• Understand the next steps on the NEPA process.
• Hear an update on Reclamation’s plan for construction.
