Three Little Diamonds builds confidence, community in Torrington

At Three Little Diamonds Christian Athletic Center, kids cartwheel across the mat and cheerleaders rise high overhead as athletes ages 5 to 17 learn gymnastics, tumbling and cheer. No experience is required.

Ashley La Rue opened the gym two years ago, and her older sister, Sondra Ellis, came aboard this year to expand the program. La Rue, a gymnast growing up, had been driving to Scottsbluff to coach. She decided the money was better spent on mats of her own. The center operates out of the gym at Bethel Baptist Church, 2980 E. D St.
