TORRINGTON – Following several years of declining health, Fran Green passed away quietly on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at the Goshen Healthcare Community Care Center. Fran was a 20 year resident of Torrington.
She is survived by a brother in Nevada, a cousin of California, a cousin and his wife in Illinois, and a cousin in Virginia. Also surviving is her longtime friend residing in Torrington.
Fran was a military veteran having served honorably in the United State Navy during the 1960s. Following her military career, Fran became a registered respiratory therapist and was instrumental in developing a respiratory care department on the Denver Children’s Hospital. In later years, she bred and raised brown standard poodles for show, with several champions to her credit.
Fran was a member of the ‘Our savior Lutheran Church’ in Torrington. No services are planned at this time.
