CASPER – Four athletes from Goshen County high schools competed at the 2025 Wyoming Track Classic hosted by Kelly Walsh High School on Friday, May 2.
The meet features the top tracksters from schools across Wyoming in all classifications and athletes must meet qualifying times and marks to participate in the prestigious event.
Torrington High School junior Trishell Pontarolo advanced to the No. 2 position on the girls’ triple jump, posting a mark of 36 feet, 7 ¼ inches.
“I’m proud of Trishell – she proved she is one of the best triple jumpers in Wyoming on Friday against athletes from all classes,” Torrington coach Russell Stienmetz said.
Two boys represented Lingle-Fort Laramie (LFL) – seniors Louden Bremer and Brody Roberts. Bremer clinched bronze in the 300-meter hurdles, timing in at 40.17 seconds.
Roberts garnered bronze as well in the 800-meters with a PR and time of 1 minute, 57.28 seconds.
“The Classic is the premier high school track and field event in Wyoming as it allows the top athletes in the state to compete against each other,” LFL coach Mike Lashley wrote. “I am very of the way Louden and Brody represented Dogger track and field. They competed extremely well on a huge stage. These young men are great ambassadors of small-town track and field programs.”
Southeast High School sophomore battled to the No. 6 spot on the girls’ shot-put leaderboard, hitting a mark of 38-02 ¼.
“Haylee competed well and places sixth overall against some very good competition,” Southeast coach Jeff Fullmer said.
