TORRINGTON – The Torrington Tigers ‘C’ Legion baseball team repeated their performance against the Saratoga Cutthroats – this time at home – in two back-to-back victories at a twin bill on Thursday, June 5.

“The boys came out focused and took care of business with four conference wins this week,” coach Rob Mortimore said. “I am very proud of how well they continued to have solid at-bats and competed on the mound. We were able to get several arms on the mound and all three did very well. Offensively, we are seeing the ball very well as a team right now.”
Overall, the team is looking strong headed into the home stretch of the season.
“When we have everything clicking, this is a fun group to watch,” coach Mortimore added. “We have a few things to clean up as we head into the stretch of our season, but those things are fixable and I have no doubt we’ll be ready come tournament time.”
