TORRINGTON – Are you a baseball fan? Do you enjoy working with young athletes or have you ever thought about helping to shape the next generation of leaders?
If you answered “yes” you are in luck!
The American Legion Post No. 5 Torrington Tigers baseball program is looking for dedicated, passionate individuals to manage teams for the upcoming 2026 season.
The Tigers anticipate fielding at least two teams and are seeking coaches who not only know the game but are committed to developing character, sportsmanship and teamwork in young players. Whether you are an experienced coach, former player or someone eager to give back to the community, we want to hear from you.
The Tigers have a strong tradition of success. In 2025, the Tigers ‘A’ team finished fourth at the state tournament and four players earned all-conference honors. The ‘C’ team took third place at state after winning the Senior Little League state championship. These accomplishments highlighted the incredible talent developing right here in our community.
Managing a youth baseball team is about more than the game – it is about building relationships, teaching life lessons and making a positive impact lasting far beyond the final inning.
If you or someone you know is interested in leading one of our teams, please send a letter of interest or resume to Torringtontigerswy@hotmail.com.
Be a part of something special and help us continue the proud tradition of Torrington Tigers American Legion baseball.
