Local Easter egg hunts

GOSHEN COUNTY – With Easter quickly approaching, area egg hunts have been scheduled throughout Goshen County. 

The Lingle Volunteer Fire Department will host their annual egg up on Saturday, April 12. Festivities begin for ages zero to three, four to six and 7 to 12 at Whipple Park at 1 p.m.

“Hop on over for a fun-filled Easter adventure,” the department said. “Bring your basket and search for hidden treasures.”

On Saturday, April 19, the Hawk Springs Volunteer Fire and Rescue will kick off the annual Easter celebrations for ages zero to 3 year’s, pre-kindergarten and kindergarten, first and second graders, third and fourth graders and fifth and sixth graders at 10 a.m. in Hawk Springs. 

“Come see what the Easter Bunny has hidden at our annual Easter Egg Hunt,” the department said. “We will have eggs to hunt, prizes to snap and refreshments.”

The Fort Laramie Fire Department will be hosting the Easter Celebration Extravaganza, featuring and egg hunt and Sunday breakfast. 

On Saturday, April 19 at 1 p.m., children are invited to Fort Laramie North Park where age groups of zero to two years, three to five years, six to eight years and ages 9 to 12 can hunt for eggs. 

“Prizes will be awarded after the Easter egg hunt,” the department said.

On Sunday, April 20 from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m., the community is invited to the Fort Laramie Community Center for a free will donation breakfast of pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage and coffee will be served.
