LAGRANGE – On Saturday, April 27 at 5:30 p.m. the LaGrange Volunteer Fire Department will be hosting a pancake supper and silent auction.

“We take the evening to serve our community a pancake supper and we have a silent auction set up as well with donated items to help us raise funds. We are a volunteer-based fire department that includes an ambulance service for our community and we do not charge for any of our services so this fundraiser allows us to come up with the funds to keep our department up and running and get the supplies we need throughout the year such as fire gear, medical supplies, truck repairs, etc.,” Karina Meeker, fire department member said.

The event is held at the LaGrange Firehall on 200 C Street in LaGrange.

“I would say that I am very appreciative of the members and the way they go about getting the donations and hosting the pancakes supper & silent auction. Without those dedicated members it would not be possible to keep a fire department operating,” Tracy Pragnell, department fire chief, said.

The pancake supper is a free-will donation meal with proceeds going to the department.
