Deborah Furney spent 41 years in manufacturing before she ever picked up a pair of knitting needles for herself. Now retired, she's spending her Saturday mornings at the Torrington Artisan Market, selling hand-knit hats, blankets, scarves and more under the name Knitting on the Edge.

Downtown Torrington’s Creating Our Front Door Community Mural is complete. Wyoming muralist Jordan Dean painted the mural on the south-facing wall of the Vistabeam building, where it greets motorists entering downtown Torrington from the south. The project was initiated by Torrington Main Street, a program of Go Goshen, and celebrates the character, heritage, landscape and spirit of Goshen County through scenes of ranching, wildlife and the southeastern Wyoming landscape.

The Torrington City Council opened its Tuesday meeting with its annual remembrance of Lt. Harley Mark, the Torrington Police officer killed in the line of duty in 1993, before moving through a full agenda of routine city business.

TORRINGTON – A man accused of fleeing from law enforcement during a high-speed pursuit into Goshen County last year is facing felony charges related to an alleged clandestine methamphetamine operation and the alleged theft of a pickup truck.
