Sharks hit marks in Alliance

Taelyn Stokes comes up for air in the breaststroke during the Torrington Sharks home meet on June 7. Stokes shattered the meet record in the 50-meter freestyle at Alliance with a second-place finish timed in at 38.88 seconds. Stokes went on to capture gold in the 25-meter breaststroke in Alliance at 27.19 seconds.

The Torrington Sharks dove into the second week of the summer season with strong performances at the Alliance meet.

Tigers ‘A’ beat Douglas, Laramie

EWC announces Fall Honor Roll

Eastern oming College named 122 students on the college’s Fall 2023 President’s Honor Roll and the Dean’s List. The President’s Honor Roll recognizes full time students (12 or more credit hours) who achieved a 4.0 grade point average. To qualify for the Dean’s Honor Roll, students must be full time and achieve a grade point average of 3.5, but less than 4.0.

Remnants from a violent incident off South Street in Wheatland were thoroughly investigated by Wheatland Police Department, Platte Co. Sheriff’s Office, and Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation. One individual was arrested and one individual was hospitalized after the incident. There is no additional danger to the public, according to official statement by local law enforcement.
