Jenny Garcia lost her daughter Izzy in 2017 at 27 days of age to complications from a rare heart condition. For the last eight years, Garcia has advocated to bring more awareness to childhood congenital heart disease and in part of her mission, Garcia has been surrounded by the support of those around her, including the students in the halls of the Torrington Middle School.
