TORRINGTON – The City of Torrington just released this year’s spring clean up dates for city customers, May 4-11.
“City customers can utilize the baler facility for dumbing of tree limbs, grass, etc.,” the city released on social media. “Call the baler for more information at (307) 532-4689.”
The baler will be open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday and 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays during the scheduled cleanup, according to the release.
Customers must be able to validate their city accounts with a city bill reflecting a sanitation charge and a valid ID to utilize the dump for free.
“You are always welcome to dump otherwise for a fee,” the release states.
Only five tires, without rims, per household will be accepted however heavy truck tires, commercial tires and equipment tires are not allowed.
The city also reminds area participants no hazardous chemicals or paints will be accepted and appliances containing freon such as freezers and refrigerators must be tagged as freon-free by a licensed agent.
