GOSHEN COUNTY – More than 30 donated items will be available for silent auction Oct. 18 at the Goshen County Fairgrounds during the “Race to end domestic violence event”.

“Generous Goshen County folks have stepped up with some outstanding donations for silent auction. It promises to be our best ever,” said Michelle Powell, director of Goshen County Task Force on Family Violence and Sexual Assault.

Auction items include a Yeti cooler and mugs, four hand-painted cowgirl wine glasses with wine, jewelry, hotel stays, a 60-minute massage, haircuts, a country canister set, dining certificates at local restaurants, barbecue supplies, outdoor furniture and family photo sessions. Additional items are listed on the task force’s Facebook page.

The event combines the silent auction with barrel racing. Spectators can attend free of charge beginning at 11 a.m. at the fairgrounds arena.

Bidding will close at 5 p.m. Winners need not be present and can collect items at the end of bidding or Oct. 20 at the task force office at 1933 Main St.

Local vendors will also have booths at the event.
