CHEYENNE – A reduced Southeast High School track team showed up and represented against tough 3A and 4A competition at the 2025 Okie Blanchard Invite hosted by Cheyenne East on Friday, April 11.

The Lady Cyclones finished eighth as a team out of 12 schools with 21 points while the boys placed 11th with seven points.

“We had a good weekend at East,” coach Jeff Fullmer said. “We were sharing kids back and forth with our FFA program, so we didn’t have a full squad. The kids that competed did well against some very good competition. The girls are getting close to mid-season form and our times are starting to improve and distances and heights are moving up.”

The five boys representing Southeast also posted strong performances.

“It was good to have a warm, nice day for a track meet – finally,” boys’ coach Jeff Logsdon said. “Freshman Cole Tregemba keeps getting better every time he stops on the track, along with sophomore Connor Coxbill. We’re working through some injuries right now on a few kids, but I expect them to bounce back and have some really good times and distances.”

Girls top eight medalists

In throwing events, sophomore Haylee Eckwall advanced to the No. 5 spot on the shot-put leaderboard, hitting a mark of 36 feet, 7 inches.

Junior Kaycee Kosmicki pulled into fifth place in the 800-meters, clocking in at 2 minutes, 32.53 seconds.
