EASTERN WYOMING COLLEGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES SEEKS CANDIDATES TO FILL BOARD VACANCY
TORRINGTON, WY — The Eastern Wyoming College Board of Trustees is seeking qualified individuals who are interested in serving on the College’s governing board following the resignation of Trustee Randy Adams. Adams served as a Trustee beginning in 2019, and his term expires in 2028.
In accordance with Wyoming law, the Board declared a vacancy on May 12, 2026, at its regular board meeting, and the remaining members of the Board will now have thirty
(30) days to appoint a qualified elector to fill the vacancy. The appointed trustee will serve until the November 2026 General Election, when voters will elect a trustee to fill the remainder of Adams’ unexpired term.
The Board of Trustees consist of seven members who serve a critical role in guiding the College’s mission, strategic direction, fiscal stewardship, and commitment to providing accessible, high-quality educational opportunities for students and communities throughout Goshen County and the surrounding service area.
Qualifications for Appointment

To be considered for appointment, applicants must be:
• A qualified elector under Wyoming law; and
• A resident of the Eastern Wyoming College District (Goshen County)

Submission Requirements
Interested individuals should submit a Letter of Interest and a Resume. Letters should outline the applicant’s professional background, community involvement, and vision for the future of Eastern Wyoming College. Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to the mission and long-term success of community college education and EWC students.

All materials must be received at the EWC President’s Office no later than 1:00 p.m. on May 27, 2026. Late applications will not be considered.
Review Process
The Board may invite selected applicants to participate in public interviews during the next scheduled Board meeting on June 9, 2026 at which time the Board intends to appoint and seat the new trustee.
