Ordinance No. 1298
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE APPROPRIATION OF MONEY BY THE CITY OF TORRINGTON, WYOMING, TO MEET ITS GENERAL FUND REQUIREMENTS AND OBLIGATIONS, TO MEET ITS ENTERPRISE FUND REQUIREMENTS AND OBLIGATIONS, FOR THE 2026 FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING JULY 1, 2025 AND FIXING THE SUM TO BE RAISED BY TAXATION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TORRINGTON, WYOMING:
SECTION 1. The following sums of money are hereby appropriated out of unexpended balances of the Fund Accounts and from estimated revenues, including Ad Valorem Tax Revenues, the total sum of $53,358,366 as follows:
General Fund Requirements: Mayor & Council 584,808; Municipal Law 276,094; City Clerk/Treasurer 1,165,193; Maintenance 137,328; Lincoln Complex 428,751; Police Dept/911/Communications 3,377,104; Fire Department 291,744; Engineering 356,477; Buildings & Grounds 223,965; Streets & Alleys 944,703; Storm Drain Maintenance 10,000; Vehicle Maintenance 265,189; Parks & Recreation 514,037; Community Projects 138,283; Museum 106,441; Industrial Park 22,200; Homesteader's Museum Trust 926,000; Special Construction Project 2,046,227; Total General Fund Requirements 11,814,544.
Water Fund Requirements: Power & Pump 505,035; Metering 234,971; Distribution & Administration 2,205,892; Water Fund Projects 7,425,075; Total Water Fund Requirements 10,370,972.
Sewer Fund Requirements: Operations and Maintenance 1,774,863; Construction Projects 12,247,940; Total Sewer Fund Requirements 14,022,803.
Electric Fund Requirements: Purchasing 214,465; Metering 281,745; Production - Wholesale Power 5,651,424; Distribution 3,069,853; Construction Projects 18,333; Total Electric Fund Requirements 9,235,820.
Sanitation Fund Requirements: Collection 1,642,087; Disposal 1,170,952; Total Sanitation Fund Requirements 2,813,039.
Other Fund Requirements: Airport Fund 2,962,568; Golf Course Fund 824,038; Swimming Pool Fund 238,394; Ambulance Fund 751,577; Cemetery Fund 324,611; Total Other Fund Requirements 5,101,188.
Total FY26 Appropriations $53,358,366.
SECTION 2. The sum of $338,882 shall be raised by taxation for the current expenses of the General Fund requirements for the said City of Torrington, during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2025.
This ordinance was passed and approved by the City Council of the City of Torrington on June 17, 2025.
