PUBLIC NOTICE

NOTICE TO MINERAL RIGHTS OWNERS REGARDING THE PROPOSED CHUGWATER ENERGY PROJECT, PLATTE & GOSHEN COUNTIES, WYOMING
Chugwater Wind, LLC, and Chugwater Energy Center, LLC, wholly owned indirect subsidiaries of NextEra Energy Resources, LLC, are developing the Chugwater Energy Project, which will be located on approximately 53,325 acres of land located east of the town of Chugwater in Platte and Goshen counties, Wyoming and accessed via Lone Tree Road (Highway 313), from Interstate 25 or Highway 85, and East Bear Creek Road/Windmill Road (County Road 245). The Chugwater Energy Project is a proposed commercial wind energy, solar energy, and battery energy storage system (BESS) facility that would generate approximately 300 megawatts (MW) of wind energy, 150 MW of solar energy, and include a 150 MW 4-hour duration (600 MWh) BESS. The Project will include the installation and operation of up to 150 wind turbines, solar photovoltaic panels, BESS, and related facilities and equipment such as a project substation; an operations and maintenance facility; overhead and underground electrical distribution; collection, transmission, and communication lines and facilities; electric transformers; interconnection equipment; roads; construction crane pads; meteorological towers and wind measurement equipment; maintenance yards and staging yards; and related facilities and equipment. The site will be located on private and state-leased land. This publication provides notice to mineral rights owners located on or under the land where the proposed facility will be constructed. Chugwater Wind, LLC and Chugwater Energy Center, LLC will be submitting applications to Platte County, Goshen County, and the State of Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality Industrial Siting Division to permit the Chugwater Energy Project to be located on lands which may include the following areas:

The submittal of Wind Energy Permit Applications to Platte and Goshen counties, and a Solar Energy Permit Application to Platte County, are planned for September 2025. The permit application submittal to the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality, Industrial Siting Division is planned for August 2025. Copies of the applications will thereafter be available at public libraries and local government offices in Platte and Goshen Counties, Wyoming, and the WDEQ-ISD office in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
