TORRINGTON – The Torrington All-Star Little League teams are gearing up for this year’s district tournament, which will be in Torrington for the first time since 2013.
In the 9-10-year-old division, Laramie, Gillette National and Gillette American join Torrington. With four teams, Monday through Wednesday is a round robin set up, with each possible match up occurring. The first three days of action for Torrington comes against Laramie (Monday, 7 p.m.), Gillette American (Tuesday, 4 p.m.) and Gillette National (Wednesday, 7 p.m.).
The round robin tournament decides the seeding for the bracket to be played out Thursday and Friday. The team with the best record plays the team with the worst record in the first round Thursday, while the middle two teams play each other. The winner of both games Thursday meet on Friday for the championship, with the two losers squaring off for third place.
