TORRINGTON – The Torrington Little League regular season has concluded, but some local baseball stars still have competitive action this summer, competing for the Torrington All-Stars.
Torrington fields two all-star teams, one in the 9-10-year-old division and one in the 11-12-year-old division. Both all-star teams have 13 players on the roster. The Yankees have seven total representatives (three 9-10, four 11-12), the Mets have six (two 9-10, four 11-12), the Cubs have seven (five 9-10, two 11-12) and the Cardinals have six (three 9-10, three 11-12).
Coaching the 9-10-year-old team is Chris Cook, with assistance from Rob Nicolay and Abe Correa. R.B. Hackbarth is the manager for the 11-12-year-old team, with Derek Long and Ryan Hackbarth assisting.
