Dear Editor,
Our third-grade classes went on a field trip to Waggin Tails Animal Shelter. Kelsea Vaughan with Fay Ranches organized this trip for us.
While we were there, we read to the cats and dogs who were all very nice. There were animals of all ages, and recognized the animals are well taken care of. Some dogs were a little bit scared, but hearing stories calmed them down. We all enjoyed being able to interact with each of them.
We learned that there are many animals available for adoption. We were reminded that it takes a lot of responsibility to own a pet. You are able to volunteer at the shelter. We recommend going to Waggin Tails today! Our hearts were full after our experience there.
Kind regards,
Mrs. Rutz and Mr. Powell’s third-grade classes (Lingle/Ft. Laramie and Southeast)
