TORRINGTON – The Lancer golf program at Eastern Wyoming College has released an updated fall scrimmage schedule.
The regular fall season was changed earlier following an announcement from the National Junior College Athletic Association.
“The guys and I are just happy that we can play golf this fall. Of course, we’d love to have full, two-day tournaments that would count toward Region IX team and individual honors, but with where we are at in the world, we are just happy to play golf,” head coach Zach Smith said. “I haven’t even been able to see my new guys play golf yet because of the rules the NJCAA has put out in response to COVID-19, so I’m anxious to get out with the guys next week for practice and some competition. I’ve enjoyed seeing them in the halls and hearing about how they are playing. I can’t wait to start the season next week.”
