GOSHEN COUNTY – Tickets are now available for a chance to win one whole butchered lamb. The drawing will be held on Tuesday, April 1 where the proceeds will go to help offset the financial burden, one Torrington resident, David Husted has occurred since being recently diagnosed with a handful of complex medical conditions.
“David Husted, a native of Torrington, has struggled with health issues since being medically discharged from the Wyoming National Guard. His family has recently fallen on hard times due to his inability to work since April 2024,” a flyer announcing the raffle explained. “For more information, scan the QR code to visit the GoFundMe site dedicated to raising funds to assist his family.”
The lamb was donated to help Husted and his family by Peterson 601 Homestead and Bear Mountain Meat Sales, where the raffle will take place, has provided the processing services. The estimated value for the lamb and processing is $750, the flyer noted.
“Winner’s name will be posted on the Bear Mountain Meat Sales Facebook page,” the flyer explained. “Winner will be contacted via phone with instructions on how to collect the prize.”
Tickets can be found at Crazy Tony’s Bar and Grill in Guernsey, Ft. Laramie Bar and Grill in Fort Laramie, Trudy’s Treasures and Thrift Store in Wheatland, Bear Mountain Meat Sales, Hawk Springs and Keenan’s Ink in Scottsbluff. Tickets sell for $5 per ticket or five tickets for $20. Tickets are limited and sales close on March 30.
