TORRINGTON – The Goshen County Schools Special Olympics Team participated in the Area III Special Olympic Games this past Thursday, April 4th in Cheyenne.
The team participated in both boys and girls basketball, both divisions I and II.
Girls Division II Results: Amelia Winter, gold medal, Anneke Kramer, silver medal.
Boys Division II Results: Edward “EJ” Haas, gold medal.
Boys Division I Results: Xavier Harkins, bronze medal.
The county basketball teams were coached by Craig Schadwinkel and Sage Munoz. The teams are slated to compete in Gillette on May 2 and 3 for the Summer State games.
