First youth rodeo results of the summer

TORRINGTON – The Torrington Youth Series Rodeo held its first event of the summer on May 17 at the Goshen County Fairgrounds to kick off its eighth-annual season.
The rodeo Wednesday was the first of eight rodeos throughout the summer. At the end of the summer, awards will be given to the top performers in each event. To qualify for and award, an athlete must participate in at least six rodeos throughout the summer. The second rodeo was completed Wednesday and the results were unavailable by the press deadline.
Results for the first rodeo:
11-14 Boys Goat Tying – 1. Seth Glass, Potter, Neb., 10.5 seconds; 2. Woodrow Brow, Wheatland, 12.7 seconds; 3. Bodie Herring, Veteran, 13.0 seconds.
11-14 Girls Goat Tying – 1. Rayne Grant, Wheatland, 10.9 seconds; 2. Clara Petersen, Torrington, 12.0 seconds; 3. Baliegh Lane, Torrington, 15.9 seconds.
8-10 Girls Goat Tying – 1. Afton McIntosh, Torrington, 17.4 seconds.
