EWC offers class on acupressure for dogs

Posted

TORRINGTON – Eastern Wyoming College (EWC) is offering a unique opportunity for pet owners to learn how acupressure can improve their dogs’ well-being through a special Community Education class, “What Is Acupressure and How Can It Help My Dog?” The course will be taught by De Hufford, a nationally certified acupressure practitioner, and will provide participants with both theoretical knowledge and hands-on practice.

Acupressure is a holistic healing technique that has been used for centuries to promote wellness and alleviate discomfort. This class will cover the basics of acupressure and teach participants how to apply the technique to benefit their dogs. The 3-hour session will include instruction on acupressure theory and hands-on practice, with a model dog provided for demonstrations. No outside dogs will be allowed to attend.

The class will be offered on Tuesday, March 25 from 6-9 p.m. and Saturday, April 12 from 1-4 p.m. to accommodate various schedules.

The cost of the course is $65 per participant. The class has a minimum enrollment of 4 and a maximum of 20 participants.

The course will take place in CTEC 101 at Eastern Wyoming College. To enroll or for more information, contact EWC Community Education Director Donna White at dwhite@ewc.wy.edu or call 307-532-8213.
