TORRINGTON – Eastern Wyoming College alumni, friends and supporters are invited to reconnect, reminisce and celebrate at the annual EWC Alumni Reception on Thursday, May 8.

The reception will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. in the CTEC Franklin Smith Commons on the Torrington campus. Hosted by the Eastern Wyoming College Foundation, the event brings together Lancer graduates from across the years for an evening of refreshments, entertainment and shared memories.

This year’s event will feature special guest Cayl Carpenter, who has been named the 2025 Outstanding Alumni.

Carpenter is being recognized for his achievements as a successful entrepreneur, community supporter and dedicated EWC alumnus. A former student-athlete and Phi Theta Kappa honoree, Carpenter launched his business career after attending EWC in 2011 and now owns 12 companies nationwide. 

“We look forward to welcoming our alumni back to campus and celebrating the lifelong connections formed at EWC,” said Lisa Johnson, executive director of the EWC Foundation. “It’s a special opportunity to honor our past while looking ahead to the future.”

The reception is open to all 2025 graduates, alumni, family members and community supporters.
