Cooper, USA picks up win

KERROBERT, Saskatchewan – Lingle-Fort Laramie’s Garrett Cooper, a member of the United States six-man football team, found himself on the winning end of the 21st CanAm Bowl, a game between the United States and Canada, 67-49.
Dalton Abarr (Meeteetse) and Reed Stafford (Kaycee) joined Cooper as players representing Wyoming. Matt Jensen, Meeteetse’s head coach, served as an assistant coach for the United States. Abarr scored two touchdowns in the win, one running and one passing.
The 116 combined points was the highest scoring CanAm Bowl. The United States continued their recent domination of the game, winning their eighth-straight game. The United States now leads the series 17-4.
