TORRINGTON – Annual Art Show: April 15- April 20, Platte Valley Bank Community Room. Entries due Monday, April 15, 8:30 a.m. to noon. No entry fees for children and teens. Adult entries, $5. All media, including 3-dimensional accepted. Categories for children, teens, and adult. Art may be indicated as for sale. Art, except 3 dimensional, must be matted and or framed as appropriate. TORRINGTON – The Library Foundation’s April Book Sale will be held April 20 - May 4, 2024 at the Library Activity Center East A Street. Monday - Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Saturday 10: 00 to 1:00 pm. Friends of the Library members receive 1-hour early access to the sale on the first day (Saturday, April 20, at 9:00 am. April 20 -24: full price, April 25 - 29: half price, April 30 - May 4: $10 bag sale. Kids & teen day at the Library Used Book Sale. Saturday, May 4 10-1. Young readers can fill a special bag with books for $5.00.

TORRINGTON – 5K Fun Run 2024 Torrington April 27 for Goshen County Task Force on Domestic Violence and Sexual Abuse. Run includes a souvenir tee, and a Fun Run Goody bag. Registration is $50 per person, kids 12 and under are free (accompanied by parent or guardian). Register at Registration information also available at GitFit of Torrington. Register prior to April 6 for correct sized tee. Run includes hydration and snack stops and lunch provided by SONRise church. Race kicks off at 10am. LAGRANGE – Spring’s New Life Craft Fair April 26th 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. April 27th 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Raffling off a King size homemade quilt. Silent auction will be held throughout the event. Local groups and school performances daily. Concessions available in the cafeteria. There will be a kids table for ages 10 and under where they can place items for sale even if parents are not involved in the fair. TORRINGTON –Alzheimer’s/Dementia Support Group meet the Third Thursday of every month at the Torrington Senior Center, 216 E 19th Ave at 11:00 a.m. Do you care for someone diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease of a related dementia? Are you looking for information and support? You are not alone. Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support Group provides emotional, educational and social support for family and friends of individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and other related dementias. TORRINGTON – The Goshen County Historical Society meets the fourth Tuesday of each month September through November and January through May in the Platte Valley Bank Community Room at 7 p.m. This week, special guest, former Torrington Police Chief, Billy Janes will be in attendance.

TORRINGTON – The American Legion, 2102 Main Street in Torrington, is holding a steak feed the first Friday of every month at 6 p.m. Bingo at the American Legion is every Saturday at 6 p.m.

TORRINGTON – Moose Lodge No. 664 meets every second and fourth Monday of the month. Steak feed and karaoke is on every third Friday of the month. The Women of the Moose No. 2009 meets every second and fourth Tuesday of the month. 

TORRINGTON – Cornhole leagues are Monday nights at 6:30 p.m. at the Torrington Elks Lodge. Drinks and food are available, and warm up begins at 6 p.m. Registration fee is $15 per person. Teams may register up to the day of the event or until full. Weekly brackets and open play to follow until 9 p.m., $2 a game. TORRINGTON – VFW Post 2918: The Vet’s Lounge is now open Monday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. All veterans, and anyone related to a veteran, are invited to stop in and enjoy coffee and snacks.
