TORRINGTON – The Torrington Trailblazers boys soccer team picked up a win at home to open the regular season against Rawlins on Saturday, 2-0, with Nathan Stitt knocking through the two Blazer scores.
“It was nice to start off the year with a quadrant victory over Rawlins,” coach Jeshua Arnusch said. “We did a great job of keeping possession and really dictating the flow of the game. It felt like we had the ball on their defenive third the majority of the game and that led us to having several great corner looks.
The Blazers outshot the Outlaws 30-3 in the win, with Stitt leading the way with seven shots, two of which he converted on. Link Jirasort poured in six shots, while A.J. Shields added five and Anthony Munoz chipped in four.
