TORRINGTON – In a boys’ only doubleheader on Tuesday afternoon, the Torrington High School Blazer tennis team pulled off a pair of 3-2 wins over Alliance, Neb. and Gering, Neb.

In the first match of the day, both Torrington No. 1s lost, while the remainder of the team picked up wins.

TORRINGTON – In a boys’ only doubleheader on Tuesday afternoon, the Torrington High School Blazer tennis team pulled off a pair of 3-2 wins over Alliance, Neb. and Gering, Neb.

In the first match of the day, both Torrington No. 1s lost, while the remainder of the team picked up wins.

THS’s No. 2 singles player Isaac Bartlett defeated Alliance’s Bryson Davvaeu, 6-4 4-5 7-5, while No. 2 doubles team of Aidyn Saucedo and Cody Clayton won 6-4 5-7 7-5. The No. 3 doubles team of Gabe Russell and Joseph Randolph picked up a 6-2, 6-1 victory.

In an alternate singles match, Torrington’s Emanuel Bustamante won 6-0, 6-3 over Aiden Zaro.

Later in the afternoon, the Blazers also knocked off Gering, 3-2.

No. 1 singles player Brian Fenn earned a 6-2, 6-1 win over Mark Karpf, while Saucedo and Clayton won 6-4, 6-3 in No. 2 doubles action. The No. 3 doubles team of Russell and Randolph won by default.

The Blazers are back in action Saturday at the Scottsbluff (Neb.) Invite.
