TORRINGTON – Herald L. Peterson, age 72, passed away on June 17, 2019, at the Torrington Community Hospital.
Herald was born in Lusk, Wyo. He was raised by Ernest and Margaret Garhart and attended school in Fort Laramie, Wyo.
When he was older, he enjoyed helping in the café, on the family farm and at the ranch. His religion was very important to him, and he attended the Fort Laramie Presbyterian Church.
In 2004, he moved to Torrington to reside and live out the remainder of his life at Diversified Services, Inc. He enjoyed attending the First Baptist Church, where he made several friends.
Herald was known and enjoyed by many. He was a loving soul who was kind, gentle and always willing to help others. He loved to fish, visit and tell stories, attend church, winning at Bingo, going to garage sales, shopping, coloring, eating out, going for walks, and entering projects in the county fair– where he won a lot of blue ribbons.
He was preceded in death by his parents, aunt, uncle and other family members.
Herald will be greatly missed by family and friends, who had the honor of knowing and loving him.
Memorial Services will be held at 2 p.m. on July 18, 2019, at the First Baptist Church, 2241 Main Street, Torrington, WY.
